The strategy? Simple.
We work pretty much the same as the traditional banks. We lend funds to creditors with a higher interest rate than we give to lenders while securing our business with 50% collateral from our creditors, lock-in periods, and full insurance from our insurance provider.
The backbone of our business is insurance. In addition to yearly premiums, we pay half of what we earn from each deposit to our insurance provider. In our business model, the insurance provider is not a third party but our direct partner that daily earns from the platform.
So, when you make a BTC deposit to your interest account for a 3-month lock-in period, the 8% interest you receive comes from the 14% interest a borrower pays for his credit. We earn 3% from this to continue providing our service; our insurance provider earns 3% to continue providing your deposit's full insurance. When the lock-in term gets increased or when you stake FULCRUM, the interest you receive increases because we and our insurance provider can earn more stably.
